OFSTED
A government inspection department found their paper archive growing rapidly and wanted to evaluate their workflow.
The department was continually generating paper and had no time to investigate new methodologies of handling it. Capgen were asked to evaluate their operations with a view to making recommendations for change.
It was necessary to spend some time with each operational group to fully understand their function and the difficulties they encountered. Because they were dealing with a wide spectrum of 'clients' they were unable to impose an electronic regime.
Over a period of a month,Capgen interviewed all the relevant members of the department putting together a report that analysed the paper archive growth and suggested methods of changing the operations.
Many of these recommendations have now been implemented and whilst paper is still a vital part of their task, archives are being dealt with and the growth considerably reduced.
